5th Grade

The 5th grade students made designs inspired by the pinwheel. In this lesson the children learned about writing in various fonts and changing the size to achieve a certain effect. Personalized drawings were added throughout the design to show each student's own personality.

What's Going On In Art 4th Grade: The beginning of the month was focused on the Mexican holiday Dia De Los Muertos or Day of the Dead. The students learned about this Mexican tradition and it's importance in the culture. We made paper collages of the famous Sugar Skulls in celebration!  4th Grade EDU: The EDU students learned about Warm & Cool Colors. We used various shapes to create a composition that the students would then paint in with either a warm color palette or cool color palette. Watercolor was the medium for this lesson, allowing the students to also work with various shades of color. Currently the 4th grade students are learning about Native American Weaving. 4th Grade EDU The EDU students learned about various habitats and the animals that live in them. Each student choose an animal and sculpted it out of model magic. They then created the environment or habitat it lives in by making a 3-D Diorama.
