4th Grade EDU The 4th grade EDU students learned about camouflage. They made lizards out of tag board and then chose a pattern/design to make on it using oil pastels. A background was created, using the same design. We glued the lizards on, adding some height, so they wouldn't lay flat. 6th Grade EDU The EDU students learned about metamorphosis and how it's a gradual change from one thing to another. The students chose two objects, which were similar in shape. Using 6 or 8 squares, they had to show a slow transition from the first object to the last. The students used shading to add color and detail.

5th Grade The 5th grade students finished up their lesson on Line Design. The students used repeating lines to create an illusion of movement. Their illusions  were either enhanced with color or left black and white. 4th Grade The 4th grade students learned about overlapping to create depth in a drawing. They used this technique to create cities. Each student had to draw at least 6 buildings, making sure sure they had placement in the foreground, middle-ground and background. Marker, crayon and colored pencils were used to add color and detail. 4th Grade EDU The EDU students worked with rainbow scratch paper for their underwater worlds. At the beginning of class we brainstormed together on what types of animals and plants live in the ocean. We made a list on the board and each child had to incorporate at least 5 of the items into their drawing. 5th Grade EDU The 5th grade EDU class just completed their project on Birch Trees and Winter Birds. This lesson was mixed media, using chalk pastel, tempera paint and collage. We focused on using chalk pastel to create realistic birds, with an emphasis on blending. The trees and background where made separately with paint and all pieces were glued together to create the final product.
