5th Grade
The 5th grade students finished up their lesson on Line Design. The students used repeating lines to create an illusion of movement. Their illusions were either enhanced with color or left black and white.
4th Grade
The 4th grade students learned about overlapping to create depth in a drawing. They used this technique to create cities. Each student had to draw at least 6 buildings, making sure sure they had placement in the foreground, middle-ground and background. Marker, crayon and colored pencils were used to add color and detail.
4th Grade EDU
The EDU students worked with rainbow scratch paper for their underwater worlds. At the beginning of class we brainstormed together on what types of animals and plants live in the ocean. We made a list on the board and each child had to incorporate at least 5 of the items into their drawing. The scratch paper gave the students the freedom to not have to worry about color, and therefore allowing them to focus more on details.
